We are so excited to be hosting our very first film festival that is just for students, K-12!

After several years of running the Local’s Only Short Film Festival, we began receiving submissions from local students and wanted to create a space that’s just for them! One of our goals with Students Only is to foster creativity and interest in cinema at an early age, and we encourage all students, regardless of experience, to get together with a friend or two and create something that you love! Maybe you’ll find a lifelong passion for filmmaking, maybe you’ll have a great time but never want to make a film again. What excites us most is that you’ll have made something and put it out into the world!

Mark your calendars now, we’ll be showing the selected films on Saturday, November 15 at 5PM!

Guidelines

All submissions must be original films created by K-12 students.

. The deadline for registration and delivery of materials is November 7th, 2025 at 11:59pm.
